Anna Horrigan Pastel Paintings

Anna Horrigan has been painting with pastels for over 40 years. A
native of Boston and a graduate of Boston University, she started
entering competitions in the early years of The Pastel Society of America as well as The Salmagundi Society of New York.
A member of the Copley Society of Boston and other art and pastel
associations, she has had work accepted in exhibitions in New England and New York, and after moving west , in Oregon
and California, receiving awards in national and international shows.
She paints cities, landscapes and people in every environment throughout the United States and Canada, including
the rivers where her husband fly-fished . She loves to catch the smile on an elderly face, the sun on a riverbank, and the shadow under the trees in a local park.
Her mentors were Robert Brackman, Daniel E. Greene, and Constance Pratt.
